Filling the Loss Prevention Training Gap
These Basic Loss Prevention courses were designed specifically to help educate loss prevention agents in
the states like California and Texas where Loss Prevention Agents do not have the same required training
as security guards do. These states do not currently provide or require any basic formal education for Loss
Prevention Agents. For CA State security guards, the state requires all guards to take an 8-hour basic
security guard course they can even apply for their license to work. To help try to fill the education gap
for Loss Prevention Agents in states such as California, we have created these Basic Loss Prevention
Courses. The courses give Loss Prevention Agents the knowledge and background
they need to help them do their job successfully.
